UV protection is essential because it shields us from harmful ultraviolet rays that can cause skin damage, premature aging, and increase the risk of skin cancer. It helps keep our skin healthy and safe while enjoying the outdoors.

Shadeports Plus is proud to announce the launch of the Pancypriot Kids Competition – “Shade My Space 2025”

This exciting initiative invites children from private schools across Cyprus to unleash their creativity and learn about the importance of sun safety. Participants can take part by creating an A4 or A3 sketch of a shade sail design and writing a short essay about the benefits of UV protection, or by submitting a 60–90 second video titled “I want to shade my space because…” and sharing it on social media.

A panel of professionals will review all entries, and the winning student will see their custom shade sail design come to life — a real installation worth up to €10,000, which can be placed either at their school or their home.

Through this competition, Shadeports Plus aims to inspire young minds to think creatively about design, sustainability, and sun protection, while promoting awareness of the value of shading in our everyday lives.
