Custom Shade Design and Architect Service

Our designated design team creates each project to the client’s requirements and is overseen by our in-house architect.

Our custom shade design service uses the latest 3D software and technology to geolocate the premises, showing the movement of the sun according to the time of the year. This ensures the shade is placed where it needs to be at all times of day, throughout the year. It also enables us to show our clients an accurate picture of what they are acquiring from us, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

The design and shape is then analysed under various loading conditions to determine the steel, fabric tension, cable and hardware requirements. The 3D computer modelling and analysis are transformed in the graphical design stages of the project into accurate architectural drawings and 3D model complete with actual steel and cable sizes and connections. Design drawings are then submitted to the client for review and approval.

This department is vital in all our projects and your dedicated team member will maintain contact with you to share updates and progress reports, ensuring it is delivered on time and within the quoted budget.

Metal Fabrication and Steelworks
All of our projects that require metal fabrication are carried out by our in-house team of fully qualified and certified steel fabricators. This ensures that we always meet our internal and external quality standards. All raw materials are sourced from the best suppliers, ensuring the highest quality available. The steel workshop is managed by an experienced team of professionals focused on quality and safety
Our steelworks department is vital in all our projects. This department was created with the customer in mind, allowing us to reduce costs, time and the effort required to find another supplier. Having this department allows us full control, making sure that your project is delivered on time, on budget and most importantly that all safety requirements are satisfied.
Woodwork Plus
All of our projects that require wood are carried out by our in-house team of carpenters and woodwork engineers. This ensures that we always meet our internal and external quality standards. SPP Service and Maintenance of Shade Sails
Take down and Put-ups
SPP advises annual take down of shade sails in the winter period (November- March) and put up in April to have ready for the summer.
Cleaning of Sails
While our shade sails are extremely durable, cleaning helps to protect the shade cloth and keep it looking great. Our in-house washing team carefully washes the shade sails with special shampoos, that don't affect the UV of the fabric, making them look brand new.
Maintenance of Sails
We all know that for anything to stay in good condition, it must be maintained. Shade sail maintenance ensures that your shade sail is always in the best shape, operates effectively, and lasts longer.

Whether you’re thinking of restoring your carport, or simply want to change the color scheme, we've got you covered.
Storage during winter period
If in-house storage is available for ours clients shade sails, during the winter period.

We pride ourselves on service. We offer emergency call outs to take care of your shade structures.
Shade Sail Maintenance Information

To ensure that your investment in using our Shade Netting is kept to its optimum, we recommend that you enter a yearly service & maintenance contract with SHADEPORTS PLUS LTD., which will commence in the “off season” period i.e., October - March.

This service will include the removal, cleaning, full safety check and correct and safe reinstallation of your shade sail/s. With annual servicing, the life expectancy of the fabric will far extend beyond the UV degradation guarantee.
Additional Sails
Should you have more than one shade sail on the same premises, the charge for the second sail and per every other sail, thereafter, will be 50% of the value of the first sail.
Notice and Storage
Please allow us a 2 to 3-week notice period for the take down as well as reinstallation of the sail/s.
All shade sails are to be stored at your premises during the “off season” period. If in-house storage is available.
Payment Terms
This is a pre-paid service. As such, we will require payment in full to be made on the day of take down for the year ahead for each service.
